I have seen a few posts about methods to measure the amount of wort in the brew Pot and thought I would post my method.

Home Depot sells 3 foot strips of aluminum. I filled my 25 gal megapot with 5 gallons. I then made a mark at the level using cutting pliers. Added 2 more gallons, made another mark and repeated.

After getting to 11 gallons I stopped and used a tape measure to figure out the average spacing between marks. I think it was about an 1 and 1/4 inches between 2 gallons. Made the remaining marks by measurements.

Took it to work the next day and made my marks larger with a cut off wheel. Then using an automatic center punch made dot-matrix style numbers above the lines.

Your post gave me an idea on what to do with the sanke keg dip tubes I now have languishing in the garage.
