I force carbed my first AG batch last night. However I forgot to purge the keg after sealing it up. I put the lid on, put 30lbs of pressure on it and shook. Then I let it sit for a few minutes, purged and did it again.

Did I possibly/probably airate and ruin the beer?

Thanks.

Tim

Assuming you filled it up to the 5 gallon level just below the gas-in tube, you're looking at maaaaaybe 20cc's of outside air, of which only 25% is oxygen and you've got it pressurized with CO2. Your odds of oxidizing are pretty low and if you feel paranoid about it you can just try to purge it now. CO2 is heavier than O2 and should(may) push it towards the top.
