I've ordered liquid yeast (White Labs) from Georgia, shipped on an ice pack to Michigan, and by the time I received the vials they were air temp (mid 70s at the time). I was afraid they were killed off... Popped them in the fridge, and used one of them a week later (Cali Ale yeast), fired up nicely in the starter, made a great amber.
If liquid yeast can take some warmth, I'm sure dry yeast won't have any problems.
Heh... That's where I bought my warm yeast, too! Even though it worked once for me, I haven't rolled those dice again. I'll suffer the extra $3 and buy my liquid yeast from my local supplier now.BMW was helpful and replaced.
