Hey all,
I just wanted to show my MLT so that it can help anyone that might want to do the same thing. I had this cooler sitting around, so that is why I picked it.
It had an existing valve that simply screwed out. I decided to use this hole rather than make a new one. This existing hole is at a 45 degree angle so you have to get up and over the wheel area of the cooler which turns some people off. I think this solves that issue quite nicely.
Yes, I could have went PVC or brass, but I like stainless and went with it. I shouldn't have to mess with it for a long time. And the installation took me about 15 minutes.
I did a test fill and no leaks and it only leaves 10 oz of water in the bottom.
All parts came from Bargain Fittings. They were a great help in ordering everything!
