Bourbon and Plastic

Trying to infuse an oak spiral with bourbon for a Robust Porter. The plastic tube for hydrometer samples was a perfect fit, but I'm a little worried about the reaction of the bourbon and the plastic. I think that the tube is acrylic. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the replies. This will be a long term experiment, so I don't want to screw it up.

Sounds like the perfect excuse to drink that bourbon when you're through infusing.
