I have brass quick disconnects and they work great. My only concern for this one would be the 1/4" seems a bit small, but i mean if it works for you, it works. Someone else may have a better idea of the pros/cons on these specific ones though since i don't know how air specific ones differ from liquid ones.
 
Those camlock discos are nice! But I'm using the 3/8th coupling size brass disconnects from McMaster that klyph linked, and they work beautifully.
