I have been on the lookout for a used, inexpensive fridge to convert to a keg fridge since my keezer died a few weeks ago. In my searches I have come across a used three tap Bev Air kegerator. This is a commercial unit that has three tap heads, not just one head with three taps. It has three doors, and I am pretty sure it is designed to hold 3+ commercial half barrels, so it should hold 10 or more corny kegs with room for my yeast collection.

I am going to look at the unit in a couple days. The seller says it is in good working order. I do not know the seller at all. I asked her to plug in the unit so it will have been running for a good 12 hours before I get there. I figured I would bring along my thermometer to check the temp inside when I get there. But IF the unit is in good shape, what should the temp read? 34F?? I have no idea what adjustments are on this type of unit.

What else should I look out for before I plunk down my cash???? How can I tell if its a decent working unit???

Thanks in advance.

Alan
