I contacted a guy that was selling a kegerator cheap. I think I can get it as cheap as 50 bucks, 75 at the most. He says it does not get cold though. I asked him if it works at all (gets cool, but not cold) or if it doesnt work. He says it just quit on him one day. When he turns it on, it makes a click noise but nothing happens.

Could this be something as simple as getting a new thermostat? Im not an expert here but if its that simple, I will buy it. If not, I wont touch it as I have a mini fridge I can use (although I would love more room)

Anyone have any thoughts? If I go take a look at it, is there anything I should look for?

Thanks

could be the thermostat...could be the compressor is shot.

Yea...if it is the compressor, the kegerator is useless to me. Any way I can determine the problem if I go check it out (of course without hooking up a new thermostat :D )

well you should also consider if it comes with a Co2 tank and regulator, which may make it worth it for the price.

Well, if it doesn't get cold, it's not a cheap kegerator; it's an expensive keg holder.
