Hi all! Let's cut to the chase.

Brown Ale

5.5 Gallons

10.00 lb Pale Malt, Maris Otter
1.00 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L
1.00 lb Victory Malt
0.25 lb Chocolate Malt

14.00 gm Northern Brewer [9.90 %] (60 min) Hops 15.5 IBU
28.00 gm Fuggles [5.00 %] (20 min) Hops 9.5 IBU
28.00 gm Fuggles [5.00 %] (5 min) Hops 3.1 IBU

British Ale (White Labs #WLP005)

Do you think that 1lb victory will be too much? Last time I used 1/2 lb.

Thanks

sounds awesome. i made a brown ale just like that but with extract and some munich. super tasty.

Should be fine. Although you don't see Munich or Victory in modern Northern or Southern Brown ales, they are common in older Browns.
