Im making a westmalle tripel. It also calls for 4lbs extra light. I forgot to get the extra light but have plenty of 2 row. Is the grain going to affect the flavour significantly? Im thinking 6-7 lbs 2 row for this.

Four pounds of DME would require mashing about 7 pounds of two row. For extra light DME, it'd be really nice to use pilsner malt as a replacement.

How much other grain will you be mashing?

Actually it calls for pilsner malt. I dont have enough pilsner malt to sub for the 4 lbs also. I guess I will be using 2 row since I wont place another order any time soon.
