I'm hoping to brew the T'ej recipe from Calagione's Extreme Brewing. Anyone know where in the DC metro area I can find Gesho root? I haven't had much luck calling African grocery stores around here. Thanks!

With the large Ethiopian community and numerous Ethiopian restaurants you'd think you should be able to find it. Maybe they call it something else, maybe describe what you are using it for and see if that helps. There are a lot of Ethiopian stores around, keeping calling and hopefully you’ll find someone who carries it. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Found it: The Nile Market, 7815 Georgia Ave NW, just north of the MD-DC border.
