they sell it at my lhbs as "mild malt" I'm thinking of trying it next time I make mild. Its 5.3 deg lov, which sounds delicious as a base malt for mild and southern english brown Heck I'd make a barley wine with that sucker.
Yeah, My take on it is it cuts down on the specialty malts. The down side is it is quite a bit more expensive than pale. Priced more like a specialty malt. That said, I really did like the beer, and am going to make another batch. May go into rotation.
