Just mashed my first batch with my new Barley Crusher

I am doing my maiden run on the new BC, a BIAB partial mash and just checked my mash efficiency from the excellent crush I got.

91%

I am quite pleased with that number. If I can consistently get efficiencies like that, this thing will have paid for itself in no time. It's like getting a 20% discount on all my grain purchases.

i've had the bc - 7 lb hopper - for about 40 batches now. I've never even adjusted it. consistent 80% without trying. I'm using it now for 1 bbl batches and, with power drill, I can grind 85-100 lbs of grain in minutes. Great piece of equipment and worth every penny at a range of smaller scales!
