I have been using an "extra" bucket fermenter to mix up and store my sanitizer (iodophore) for the past few times. It now has a slight yellow tinge everywhere. Is it still Ok to use it as a primary?

I plan on switching to stars and as soon as the iodophore runs out. It came with the kit I bought so I figured I would use till its gone

Hey,that's just being frugel. ha,like the frugel gourmet. I still have some of his books. The frugel brewer!:mug:

I used my old bucket on my last batch, I guess that it is about 30 years old. It works fine. The biggest concern is not the color but if you have it clean. That is very possible but once it is scratched up it is tougher and is more of a concern.

It's perfectly fine. Word of caution though. Iodophor does not last long after mixing so really no need to store it.
