Just got a new brewkettle with a hole for weldless fitting :D. Is there anything that I need to attach on the inside of the kettle to help drain if i get a threaded ball valve? I'm just a bit confused on the whole matter of what needs to go on it. Thanks!

sabco, along with other places. sells syphon drains to go inside. You will of course need a false bottom if using one of these.

I use a siphon tube with no false bottom, no problem.

You haven't had any problems with clogging? I would assume that once all the cold break settles, you'd be sucking up a lot of debris. Either way, I feel like a false bottom will probably yield a clearer beer than without. I could be wrong, I've never went without one.
