Does DME go bad?? Sounds silly I know, but I'm going to make a starter and have some leftover DME from about a year ago and was wondering if it was ok to use.

I think it should be fine as long as it was kept away from moisure and hasn't clumped too badly. Just boil it up and put those yeast to work!

For a starter it will be fine. Just remember to decant before you use it. I've been using some wheat LME I've had in the fridge for a couple of years to make starters for Hefes and such. No worries.
