hi,
i've been trying to research this as extensively as possible but need a little guidance and direction. although this forum is dedicated to homebrewing, i'll bet you guys/gals have the knowledge to help me out.
i am interested in starting a contract-brewing company, which in short means i'd like to hire a brewery to brew and bottle a beer for me. to start i would only like to handle marketing, sales, and distribution. this may sound odd to some of you but i have experience in the distribution aspects of the business but not the actual brewing. i'm certain this is a somewhat common practice however i'm not sure how the production-brewery is sourced or what to expect. are there breweries that specialize in this specifically? what sort of quantities can i expect, what sort of pricing, do they source bottles and packaging, etc? or do i find a very skilled homebrewer that can handle a quantity that i need?
i'm looking forward to your comments - i'll bet there are forum members on here that will be able to help me a ton, or even manufacture for me!
thanks a ton
