Informative threads.. how to earmark them...?

I need a little help understanding on how to best use the forum... when one encounters a very informative thread, what is the best way to "dogear" it for later retreival as reference material, short of printing it out or saving it locally?
 
You can subscribe to it then go to your user panel and see the threads you are subscribed to.

Or keep a text file with the thread links.

Or start a new folder in you browser favorites and keep them there.

I'm sure there is other ways.

I am already using the subscribe feature.

Forum theads die of old age, at some point, right? How old is 'old", in this context?
