So I'm trying to make my brewing stuff more "apartment friendly" by scaling down the size of certain items. The first thing to go is my tall turkey fryer setup.

I've been looking at the 40 qt brewpot on sale at AHS (looks high quality enough for what I need it for) and it will give me plenty of more room to do full boils. It's extremely hard with my current 30 qt pot. Plus I like stainless more.

Question: Should I go for the SP10 or SQ14? I like the SQ14's square frame and 4 legs, and it looks really stable. The downside is that it is only 10 psi with a maximum of 55,000 btus. The SP10 only has 3 legs, is less stable, but it has 20 psi maximum 155,000 btus (I think). Do I really need that much power for a 5 gallon batch? Will the SQ14 have enough burning surface area for the larger 40 qt pot?
