Hi All -
Planning to brew an IPA tomorrow night, and going to use all four C hops that I have on hand.
Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, and Citra. Any thoughts?
OG: 1.064
Est FG: 1.013
Batch Size: 6Gal after boil, 5.5 to carboy
Wyeast 1056 American Ale yeast with 2.5L starter.
Est IBU is 73 (Raeger)
Here is the hoping schedule I was thinking of:
1.00 oz Columbus (Tomahawk) [13.90 %] - Boil 60. Hop 6 48.1 IBUs
1.00 oz Centennial [8.70 %] - Boil 10.0 min Hop 8 6.0 IBUs
0.50 oz Columbus (Tomahawk) [13.90 %] - Boil 10. Hop 9 4.8 IBUs
1.00 oz Cascade [6.40 %] - Boil 5.0 min Hop 10 3.7 IBUs
0.50 oz Centennial [8.70 %] - Boil 5.0 min Hop 11 2.5 IBUs
0.50 oz Citra [13.40 %] - Boil 5.0 min Hop 12 3.9 IBUs
0.50 oz Columbus (Tomahawk) [13.90 %] - Boil 5.0 Hop 13 4.0 IBUs
0.50 oz Cascade [6.40 %] - Boil 0.0 min Hop 14 0.0 IBUs
0.50 oz Citra [13.40 %] - Boil 0.0 min Hop 15 0.0 IBUs
I'm going for big citrus and hoping to get some "dank" from Columbus (LHBS was out of simcoe).
Thanks for any feedback!
