beer sitting in fermenter for a month can it loose some flavor??

I have had my ginger beer sitting in athe fermenter for around 1 month and a week could this weaken the ginger flavor??
 
I mean i used about 8oz of ginger so maybe its a good thing it sat there aparently 8oz is a lot depending on the recipe.
 
A month is more than enough. If it's in primary, it's time to transfer it to secondaryto avoid the dead yeast flavors. If it's currently in secondary, take a taste and decide if it's where you want it. The flavor will mellow over time, even if you bottle it now.
