should I bottle in Newcastle brown ale bottles?

They are clear bottles.

No as a general rule. I find them useful to judge beer maturity. I use 1 per case to see how the beer is clearing.
 
I use a lot of clear bottles and so far no problem if you keep them in a dark place
 
I like clear bottles for mead and beer both, I like to see the colors. A nice dark beer in a clear bottle, oh yea. I am careful about keeping in a dark room and transporting boxed/covered. I look for clear specifically, I really like the 7 oz coronaita bottles for mead.
 
Like hipturn said. I use one Newcastle bottle per batch I bottle so I can see how the beer is clearing in the bottle. I don't see a problem with clear bottles as a homebrewer as we have complete control over storage and can therefore keep them out of the light.
