Is my beer of choice at my local bar... but when its served it has very little head retention... is this the norm? Just wondering.

Great beer, and their Oatmeal Stout and IPA is quite good, too. I have had the pleasure drinking several while visiting clients on Long Island.
Looks like dirty beer lines or dirty glass to me - was it carbonated?
