Boilover help!!

I turned my back for a few minutes and the Hefe I was brewing boiled over. I think mostly the foam came boiled over.

ya'll think this will have any bad effects? Should I throw it out?

A watched pot never boils. An ignored one boils over. :D

I don't know what you're boiling on, but once your temp gets close to boiling, roll off the heat a little. You can also keep a spray bottle of water on hand, and give it a few squirts when it starts coming up. Do that a few times, and it will usually subside into a nice rolling boil.
 
It might be darker and sweeter than you intended due to caramelization. If there isn't any char on the bottom of the kettle, it shoudn't make much of a difference.
