Hey everyone! I know that there have been some discussions about the health effects of aluminum, but I just wanted to know if anyone had some knowledge about my specific situation.
I just let my bottles sanitize in OneStep in my aluminum brewpot overnight, to find it today completely oxidized. I was wondering if there was any harmful byproducts formed during that process that could be harmful, even though the bottles have been removed, emptied and dried. I was planning on sharing this brew with a lot of friends and the last thing that I want to do is poison them!
I have already made up my mind based on the available info that the Al exposure itself from brewing is minimal and not hazardous, but I'm looking for some chemists to help me out with the reaction and its potentially harmful effects.
Thanks a bunch!
