I am new to AG brewing (real new I will do my first on Saturday) and I am looking at picking up a new brew kettle (8gal) and don't know if a false bottom or a bazooka tube is the way to go. so i figured i would ask the experts.
I still don't know if I am going to use pellets or whole leaf hops and I am going to be using gravity as I don't have pumps.
if this helps I plan on
1.) placing water to boil on stove
2.) drain into mash tun (placed on milk crates or table)
3.) reheat remaining water
4.) drain mash tun into boil kettle (placed on the floor)
5.) add the remaining water to tun
6.) drain to kettle. (hoist it back on to the stove)
7.) boil for an hour while adding hops (@proper time intervals)
8.) cool wort and drain to primary.
(i know i left some stuff out)
but with this system which would be better a false bottom or a B tube?
Please be gentle it's my first time.
