I'm drinking a Columbus/Maris otter smash right now that I'm really pleased with. I'd like to clean out some other bulk leaf hops from last year in a similar fashion but am unsure how it would turn out. My last grain bill for a five gallon batch was ten pounds of MO. I hopped by throwing in an ounce at 60 and gobs of hops at 5 min. I now have comet, bravo and super galena left. Would any of these work for a similar brew? I've tried combining them with little success. Any ideas are appreciated.

Mrrandywatson,

Here is the recipe. It is a breakdown of the AHS Moravian Pale Ale that was a big hit with my neighbors. The parts they liked were the pilsner malt and galena hops. So I subtracted the crystal 40 and columbus hops.

Pilsner/Galena Smash 5 gallons
OG 1.049 FG 1.012 75% efficiency mashed at 150 for 60 minutes
35.5 IBU

9lbs Moravian Pilsner ( Use any pilsner malt you like)

.5 oz Galena 13%aa 45min
.25 oz galena 13%aa 20min
.5 oz galena 13% 5 min

Yeast so5 for 2weeks at 65 degrees then kegged.

Neighbors liked it best with a little more carbonation so I kegged with a little more CO2 for them.
