I'm trying to understand yeast, so I have this question. Can you mix Ale and Lager yeast? If so how do you figure the ratio and do you ferment at Ale or Lager tempretures?

It's my understanding that temperature is the most important factor with yeast. So if you have a lager yeast and an ale yeast that share part of a temperature range, I see no reason you couldn't mix them as long as you fermented in that range. I believe white labs does sell a blend which includes both types.
