Topping off before boil?

Is it okay to add water pre-boil to get to your target boil volume in case your mash/sparge volume ended up a bit low? I can't think of anything wrong with it, but just wanted to check.
 
Nothing at all wrong with it, but you'll get better efficiency if that water runs through the grain bed and picks up some more sugars...
