Im building a kegerator and the room i have to work with is very shallow! Can a person lay a keg on its side and use it?

I'm building a keg too but my issue is that I bent the freezer ice tray on top was bent down slowly and now I hear a hissing noise every 30 minutes or so. Did you do the same? Laying down the keg shouldn't create any issues as far as I know though. Must be a 3 gallon keg. Let me know what you did with the ice tray.

You could maybe keep at an angle (not completely horizontal) if you bend the liquid diptube a little at the end?
