So i did the unspeakable. I drilled through a compressor line on my fridge. I thought i was being careful, tapped through with a small drill bit and used a nail to poke around and see if i felt any lines.

I'm assuming that its dead, there is nothing that can be done?

At least it was a $75 CL fridge.

Well....Sorta.

If it's copper,I assume it is, you could make the hole on the fridge bigger and repair the copper line. That being said you have to have a high and low Ports to have a tech come and put refrigerant back into the unit. If there's no Ports I would say it maybe cheaper to buy another fridge.

On most small refrigerated units we usually only add a low side tap. Price will depend on type of refrigerant is used in the system. Will cost more then you paid most likely.
