I made a dopplebock two weeks ago expecting the usual freezing cold weather in Upstate NY to ferment in my basement without much effort. It was nice and cold the week up to when I brewed and of course it's been around 50 every day since then...
Usually this time of year I can follow the Ron Popeil method, "set it and forget it" and my lager yeast work happily in their comfort zone on my basement floor. Anyone else having their lager schedules screwed up by the weather?
