How long til it starts?

So last night I made 5 gallons of (what I hope turns out to be) hard cider. I used champagne yeast and its been 18 hours since it was put into the fermenter. Being my first batch, how long should it take before it stars to ferment? thanks
 
Thanks Rev. I hope it satrts somewhat soon though. I guess being patient will pay off huh?
I also put a heating blanket underneath the plastic fermenter bucket to keep up the temp. Its in the cellar which is about 55 or so degrees.
 
Yea 55F is a little low, which will slow it down.
Pasteur Champagne Ferments best between 59 and 86 F (15 - 30 C).
Just make sure the blank does not get it too hot.
