Trying to finish up this mash tun and I'm having a tough time finding a proper washer.

Would like for it to be food safe, and it doesn't need to impart any flavors.

Rough dimensions are .65" id, 1.25-1.5" od. Thickness doesn't matter a whole lot.

I checked my local places, including fastenal and grainger. Thanks for any leads you might have. :mug:

Home Depot sells larger stainless washers as part of their "build a bolt" kit. It works for my mash tun (standard 10gal rubbermaid round cooler). I use the nuts for weighing down hop bags..

Edit: I see you said sealing washer...I used the silicone washer that came with cooler.

One thing to keep in mind is that you need not crank a sealing washer down. A snug fit may just do the trick.

If you still have the one that came with your original piece of equipment you may want to try again. Good luck.

When I built my HLT and MLT I used a rubber grommet that I found in the hardware trays at Home Depot. It whatever size that fits around a 3/8" Nipple.
