need help with johnson analog control

I am setting up my freezer and plugged it into a johnson analog controller and set the temp to 42ish. The thing quickly went all the way down to 32. It is supposed to be a 3.5 differential. I don;t know what to do. I'm sure it is simple....please help.

Mine dial isn't that acurate either. Just turn it up a little and keep an eye on it.

So it's a simple as the dial not being right? I can do that no problem, it's too bad it's not accurate though. Thanks.

Once you get it set it will hold that temp forever.
