I brewed some cider last october using the standard juice, concentrate, sugar and yeast method. I pulled it off the yeast after about 25 days and moved it to my secondary carboy. From there I let it sit....for a year...kinda forgot about it. I checked it once 6 months ago and it tasted good. Decided to bottle it today and it tastes like vinegar. Im guessing The air lock leaked or something. Did I ruin this batch?:(

If it tastes bad, then I guess it's ruined.

I assume that either the airlock went dry, or the cider wasn't topped up in the carboy all the way to the bung. Oxygen will ruin cider, and headspace allows aceterobacter and other bacteria or mold to take hold.
