Hello. How much sugar should I add when bottling cider in 500ml bottles?
Any advice would be really helpful thanks

I prefer to batch prime by increasing the SG by around 0.003 to ensure even carbonation. That works out to around 3.5g per 500ml bottle if my mental math serves.

I have used carbonation drops with some success. I use 2 per 500mL bottle - Coopers Brand. A little more than recommended (1/2 a drop more) but as long as the cider has naturally finished fermentation at bottling time, you should be OK with this amount.

Recommended amount is 8 grams per litre or 4 grams per 500mL bottle.
