Ok, so here's what I've got going on.
I've got three gallons of sweet cider I'd purchased from a farm- no preservatives, no pasteurization. I tossed the campden tabs and waited 24 hours before pitching my yeast. Pre-yeast pitch, I added another two gallons of storebought, so any preservative issues should be extremely minimal.
I activate my yeast in warm (not hot) water and I pitch it.
Nothing.
I wait another couple of hours and nothing is happening. I put in some nutrient and pitch a little more yeast.
Nothing.
What else do I need to do?
Do I need to dance around and do the "Happy Yeastie Jig" to get these little buggers moving?
I'm using Lavlin (K1-1116)
