Yard Sale Find

This kind of fits in with the "Anyone have a cooler wife?" thread from earlier this week. She came home from a yard sale and told me a guy had a burner for sale. We went back and I asked him if he had the pot to go with it. He takes me down to his basement and we find it. He threw in the half full gas cylinder all for $20. WooHoo! Now I won’t have to play musical pots while sparging. With two burners a tier system may be in my future.

Thats a damn good deal. I am still looking for one, I dont want to pay 75$ for one.

Can I exchange that ribbon for some hops or grain?

I just filled the pot almost to the top, probably about 7 gallons. Got a good boil going in 25 minutes starting with 68 degree tap water. Backed it off and did a half hour boil to season the pot.
I'm a happy brewer :ban:
