Piney Hops

I've been working on a few receipes lately trying to plan my next brew. The only hops I've brewed thus far are fuggles/kent goldings and perle/saaz combos. I want to try new hops along the way, but I DO NOT like piney flavored beers.

I enjoy most types of beer, malty or bitter. I'm not the hugest fan of in your face hop aroma, although, I've had a few of those I did enjoy, but that's not an issue since I just don't go crazy on aroma additions.

So anyone that has used a lot of hops......which hops should I steer clear from if I don't enjoy the piney hop flavor.

stay away from Northern Brewer hops.

I would also describe Columbus as somewhat piney in flavor.

Avoid Chinook.

BYO hop guide is a good place to look at basic hop characteristics. Since you know hops you like, you'll be able to find similar hops in this guide. As an example, since you like Fuggles, you probably like Willamette.
