Hi All,

When a recipe talks about doing a 60 minute boil, or a 90 minute boil with your hops, do they mean 90 mins from the time the wort starts to boil or 90 mins from the time you heat the mash and sparge runnings? ie, do you heat your wort post mash, then when it starts to boil, stick in your hops and wait 90 mins, or do you add your hops to th hot wort after sparging then heat until it boils?

You'll bring the wort to a boil, and wait for the "hot break", when the foaming breaks up. Then set your timer for either 90 or 60 minutes and add your hops at the times in the recipe.
