I just started a strawberry merlot wine kit for grins tonight.
I know it will finish as a semi-sweet wine.
What are the recommendations on making this wine a bit sweeter?
Sugar or conditioner? When to add it?

Add your sweetener after fermentation and the wine is clear.

Don't forget to add potassium sorbate as well.

The "mist" type kits are ungodly sweet, wait until its finished before doing anything. You can always add sweet, but you cant take it away.

Regardless of what you do, before you add conditioner....please use it on a glass and compare to one with sugar. There is something I do not like about the conditioner.
