Ok. Racking my brain and I can't seem to find the source of this problem...
Just brewed an RIS. Was expecting an OG of 1.093 with an Estimated Efficiency of 75%. Checked the Brix before boil and it was way low. Added some DME to make up "some" of the difference. Actual OG after boil was still a paltry 1.083. Now, the actual efficiency measured by Beersmith is calling it 104.7%! Seems to me that if that was the case, I'd be well into the 1.1's, and certainly not lower than the OG estimate at 75% efficiency.
Anybody know what's going on here? Seems to be a disconnect between OG and Efficiency estimates? I've included a screenshot for reference if it helps, and I can provide more info if needed.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
