It's raining here in CT right now, so I am brewing in the garage. Problem is that my water hose doesn't reach this far to supply my chiller with water. I can't imagine 10 seconds or so of rain water will hurt the brew while I move it to the cellar where the hose will reach, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't making a grave error in my thought process. What do y'all think?

Rainwater, provided you don't live in an area with extremely bad air quality, is as pure is it gets....made in Mother Natures own distillery.

Of course, if you're trying to brew a Burton Ale.....

Rainwater is good as long as it hasn’t hit anything on the way down. You want a clear view of the sky. No roofs, no trees (No birdpoop.)

If I had to take it past a roof overhang, I’d say no. Cover it as well as you can and wait it out.
