I heard it can be done but cant find a step by step guide how to do it. I do know they have to be kept out of the sun. Why is this????
thanks!

you have kegging equipment or no? If you do you can use the "Carbonator".

Not sure about apfelwine, but beer skunks in the sun. Sun = lightstruck beer.

unfortunately I have no kegging equipment. What caps would I use?

There's some confusion with your title - do you want to carbonate apfelwein in the bottle or bottle some that is already carbonated? If it's not carbed yet, prime with corn sugar just as you would with beer, then bottle with a regular cap and wait 3 weeks. If it is already carbed and you don't keg, how did it get that way and why do you want to rebottle it?
