Frozen starter wort, how to prepare?

I boil first, but I'm not sure it's necessary. The bacterial load will be lower if you boil, but freezing will kill like 99.9% of the bacteria.
 
Since you have to boil it anyway why not do it before freezing?
Personally I like to can wort but that is just me.
 
Guess I should have elaborated. It's extra cream ale wort I couldn't get in my primary so I froze some thinking I'd use it for a starter.
 
i boil mine just in case and because most of the time is at higher OG than 1.040 so i have to dilut it anyway, i like freezing higher gravity wort, it take less space in the freezer
 
Boil it. I store mine in 2 gallon freezer bags. Who knows what is in them from the factory. Anyway, it can't hurt, and better safe than sorry.
