I just bought some 1 liter, swing top bottles with painted labels. Any good ways to remove the paint besides paint remover?

are they ugly labels? I think I would just leave them alone....

other ways? maybe heat would soften it and it could be scraped/scrubbed off?

Go to your local auto parts store and grab some brake cleaner. It is really nasty alcohol in an aerosol can. If it doesn't dissolve that paint quickly, nothing will. You should be able to wipe the paint off with a rag soon after spraying it with the Brake Spray.

This stuff is designed to wash away all the gunk that accumulates on your calipers and rotors, and evaporate clean, so as not to clog up your new brake pads.

porduct called GOOF OFF it is xylol i believe. it removed the paint on corona bottles before for me. You soak a small piece of paper towel in it and place it on the paint for 5 minutes and it will come right off.
