I really just want to see if I'm doing this right before my next brew day next week.

Specifically I'm trying to figure out if my initial mash water profile is too high? or is the idea that once I add my grains it balances out to the values in blue? Wasn't sure if there was a relation to initial mash water and where it ends up.

I try to add as little as possible

I took your numbers without looking at your additions and came up with how I would have done it.

My only additions would be
Calc Chloride (CaCl2): 1g
Epson Salt (MgSO4): 1g

humm okay. Thought I was adding too much of each thing. That way works a lot better.

I don't have Calcium Chloride though. Hopefully i can pick some up before the weekend.

Well brew day went very well.

only over sight was realizing my measuring device can't measure the small increments needed for water additions. Had to run over to a buds to get his digital scale.

Can't wait to see how this alters my beer. Used it on my Deck in a Box Amber.
