What else do I need to make yeast starters?

I am thinking a 500mL Erm. Flask and a 2L erm flask.

I decided against the heating plate since I live in Texas and my house in set at 75F during the day.

I have a 1000ml flask and that thing is too small, if I were you I would just go with the 2000 and 5000 for big beers. Plenty of DME, and magnetic stir sticks of course and you should be set for fermentation success. Some people buy bunson burners to flame the tip of the flask but I have never worried about that.

Glycerin and a couple of stir bars and a keeper magnet for decanting. If you dont have a gravity tube get one and use it to check when the yeasties are done and ready for a nap.
