Should I rack the wort from my secondary on top of my priming sugar solution or should I simply pour it into the wort and give it a stir?
i rack on top... never thought about just pouring it into the carboy before bottling and saving a step
seems like it might be a good idea
I rack on top and let the swirling wort do the mixing.
I try not to let anything touch the beer/wort that doesn't absolutely need to touch it.
TheZymurgist said:It's really not a big deal. If you're sanitation practices are sound, you won't have a problem. Just dip the stirrer into some starsan, and you're good. I haven't had an infection yet (although pretty much everyone will have one at some point in their brewing history).
